Chandigarh indeed is a well planned city, with its wide straight roads, gardens and good urban land use planning. Infact its too well planned for the Indian conditions. The only thing I personally dont like about the city is that there is no room for growth. every city evolves over time and thats what gives it its character. Sadly Chandigarh lacks that historic character but i’m surprised it still retains its charm even after the roads have been swarmed by vehicles.
